We haven't been In to China Mama since before the fire happened. The service was excellent and restaurant looks great. The food was great previously and was still best I've had in Vegas. Can get really busy make reservations always at this location. We started with shrimp spring rolls and pot stickers. Everything is made fresh in house you can taste the difference. For dinner we ordered orange chicken, broccoli beef, chicken fried rice, and chicken chow mein. Everything came out hot and pretty quick. Was soo full they had to roll me out. Highly recommend a try we will definitely be back.
Food is delicious as always. Big fan of the string beans, soup dumplings and honey walnut shrimp. And I don't know what brand of hot tea they use, but it's absolutely delicious. The recent upgrades that they've done give the place a more elegant vibe and the service is top notch. All the staff was so attentive and friendly. Got there right when they opened on a Thursday so there was no wait.
Crispy duck was absolutely delicious Hot and sour soup had a kick for sure the chinese broccoli very well seasoned garlicy great service long wait if you go at a busy time
Not the same anymore. I don't know what changed, maybe a new chef or all the recent expansions, but the food just tastes different (in a negative way) What used to be mandatory stop on our Vegas trips is now just another restaurant if we feel like it. Been a frequent visitor since the days they were at the old location (that burned down) The service is still excellent. All the staff members are great here. The place is very clean and beautiful. Every dish was plated great but the flavors have changed over the years. Pan fried pork buns - still juicy, crispy, but lacked flavor Crispy beef - the one dish that I'd say still tastes as close to the original and hard to find elsewhere. Honey walnut shrimp - Very sweet now. Just doesn't tastes like an authentic honey walnut shrimp Sliced fish w/ ginger and green onions - Now this used to be what I considered their most underrated dish. Used to be crispy fish, creamy flavorful sauce. Now it's an underfried dry fish dish String beans - Over salted with the pickled condiment added Would I come back? yes. Is it a must go? Not anymore
Excellent Food ! Locals Favorite, great service just arrive early or try to make a reservation
We were the last table they were taking for the night, so super appreciative we didn't have to go searching for another dinner spot! We were HUNGRY and ordered quite a bit for our first visit too. We got Mama's special pancake with scallion ($10.99), Mama's special pan fried pork buns ($17.99), cabbage and pork dumplings ($15.99), signature salted egg yolk prawns ($25.99), and 5 piece Chinese donut ($14.99). Everything was delicious! We had wanted the sesame balls initially, but they were already sold out for the night, so we got the Chinese donut instead. Let me tell you, we were able to eat all the other dishes between just the two of us, but the Chinese donut is heavy and really should be shared family style in a group! Our friendly server tried to warn us that we might not want to try to eat all 5 pieces in one sitting. We should have heeded her warning up front! Despite that eating setback, we loved the dining experience here and can't wait to be back, especially to try the things we had missed the first time! Parking here will be crowded in this plaza, so be patient in driving back and forth for a spot.
When we first arrived at the place, the ambiance was calming. It was a bit noisy since it was peak lunch time. Service was amazing, our server made sure we got everything we needed and made sure we were having a proper experience. Now let's get down to the food.. the Tofu was AMAZING. I couldn't stop eating it with my rice! I nearly ate more than half of it, while my partner ate the rest of what's left. The crispy beef was ok to me. I'm sure it was good for most people, but to me it was ok because I usually eat Panda Express and for some reason tasted like orange chicken. The pot sticker was decent also, I expected a little bit more from this because I thought it would be packing with flavors and juicy, but it wasn't juicy at all. I enjoyed it but I don't think I'd ever get it again. Overall, I had a great experience here since this was my first time.
Came here on a Saturday at 11:15am and the wait was about 25 minutes. We were able to order right away once we got seated. We ordered - Mapo tofu: 10/10. The tofu was soft and the overall dish had a very bold flavor to it. This dish came out within 5 minutes of ordering. - Crispy beef: 9/10. The beef was flavorful and not too chewy but wish it was a little crispier. This dish came out within 10 minutes of ordering. -Potstickers: 1/10. Skip this. It was super bland and tasted like I was just eating dough. The filling was okay but not enough to save the entire entree. Came out within 15 minutes. -Spicy Noodles: 5/10. This came out 30 minutes after we got everything else, which made us not really want it. The noodles were nicely textured and had a good chew to it. The broth was spicy and not too overwhelming but we wish we didn't order it. Parking: busy plaza so parking is a bit hard but doable. The service here is really fast. Be prepared to wait awhile though if you come during peak hours. Ambiance was chill. Overall, this place is pretty good but not my favorite Chinese restaurant.
Best Chinese food I have eaten!!! Went twice during our short stay. Food and drinks are incredible. Restaurant is very charming. Service was outstanding, especially Yingyi!!!
